I went Fred Sandback's exhibition in white chapel gallery which is I didn't know that there was the exhibition, I just went there if there is any exhibition I can enjoy and I believed that there must be an exhibition I may be interested in because the whitechapel gallery always had a great exhibition before.

As I expected the Sandback's exhibition was great. There were some of sculpture work(can I say sculpture? It is more like space work used of string, well I don't know.) but it doesn't allow to be taken photos. So I am going to skip about that works. So here goes, in the other room, there were some graphic works by him which is exactly represented his sculpture work. We can see very easily the string(as a graphic) in 3D space(as a graphic) like his 3D works. According to text, he's always tried to make it like that. Even if I don't understand well, it's very simple and beautiful. And there were some sketches and notes which make me more interested. I am always tempted to see that kind of things more.

As Emily(tutor@CSM BAGD) arranged, we visited design studio, Gilles & Cecilie Studio, near brick land. It was very small studio space but it was organized and enough for them I guess. Tha point is working at studio not home. Home is always good to be lazy. Cecilie was there and talked about her and her work and studio. Some tips she mentioned:

"Get some colours. Like she did as bright pink."

"Make 3 different types of design to show to client, not one. + Make sure you like then all. They will choose what you don't want."

3 final design meeting YDP, CSM degree show with client team

Finally we had final design meeting at CSM. At that time degree show 2011 was on our building so we went and have a look degree show with client team. It was good. But someone seems disappointed and someone seems not. It depends on their expect I guess and it always happens.

Anyway finally we did our presentation and everyone is happy with that. We only left a celebration party include presentation at all people! Nervous!

Central Saint Martins BA Graphic design degree show 2011 was openned @ Shoreditch High Street. Quite huge and a lot of works. quite hard to see all, messy displayed. But I found some great works!!!

I like this idea, Made as a scarf or sports towel that has information. each part of colour means like how many times won and lost or  percentage of each team's wining or having ball something like that. Couldn't remember what it exactly is but it was something like that. I think it works well. The colours represent the team's identity well. It is fantastic idea and very original and good quility of out come.

It's about information design as well. It is new information tube map which shows how many people use the station so people can see and consider their journey. The circles on the stations is changing all the time depends on how many people using the station.

This work shows recycle of paper( I am not sure what exact information was) and these poster are all made with recycled paper which means darker colour poster is more recycled than brighter colour poster.

work in progress. 2nd Design meeting at Barnet College. and 2nd Mentor meeting.

Working with young people was very valuable to me. They are very honest and have great ideas very fresh! I'm so looking forward to their future in a few years, their graduate show, going to university etc, which is bright!

and after that we had mentor meeting @Hogan Lovells

Our mentor, Errol Donald(Design Manager of Hogan Lovells International), he is very clever and fantastic mentor ever! I am lucky to have him as our mentor!

"Design is communication, communication is trust." <- I like that he said this.

I have visited at MA Show 2011 by CSM Communication design graduate students. The exhibition was on near Shoreditch high street overground station. The show was really nice. Especially the 'intangible drawing' idea was really nice! That work was fantastic!
